Rove Motorhomes Gunthorpe is thrilled to offer the Laika Kreos 7009 A-class that sits on the penultimate step of the Laika ladder – just below the Iveco-based 8009 model. It offers twin single beds at the rear, large dinette at the front, separate washroom in the centre, well equipped kitchen and a large garage at the rear. The Lakia is an easy driver with the help of its auto gearbox, cruise control and massive amount of visibility provided from the large cab windows.

Laika has always had a reputation for making solid, stylish motorhomes and that ethos continues today, although this approach doesn’t come cheap.

Using the electric entrance step and the recessed inboard step, you climb aboard and the reason for these twin steps becomes apparent when you look at the seating with cab seats on the same level as the rest of the lounge. This flat floor aids access between the cab and the habitation area, as well as improving the lounge comfort.

The front lounge comes with a leather upholstery finish which compliments the warm Italian oak perfectly. The table is a sizeable one to say the least and has a fully telescopic leg to lower the bed right down to offer a pp up bed for one person. The L-Shaped lounge offers two rear travelling seats and just opposite this you will find a sofa which houses a pop-up cupboard with a TV bracket and TV in there for everybody in the lounge to see at the perfect viewing height.

Above the front dinette you will find a neatly stowed away dropdown double bed. With assisted gas propelled struts this double bed can be pulled down quickly and easy ready to sleep two adults in complete comfort. The bed provides a full wrap round blind for the front creating maximum privacy without having to touch your front cab blinds.

The main kitchen is behind the L-shaped sofa, with a fridge opposite. If you specify the optional low-level oven/grill, you lose some worktop space but retain the twin sinks, one of which doubles as a smart drainer, set into the Corian worktops. The fridge is a double-door 160-litre affair and it might be possible for a microwave to be fitted above this.

The washroom stretches across the aisle. It can be closed off from the kitchen, thanks to the toilet door, but also from the rear bedroom by virtue of an extra sliding door. The offside toilet cubicle, with its modern soft-touch formed sink and worktop, also has a large skylight and window, plus plenty of low and high-level storage. The shower is opposite with a see-through door in a smoky tone. Inside, there’s a wooden duckboard for the floor, integrated wall recesses for toiletries and a blue/white LED lighting system. There are also removable shelves to allow this space to double up as a secondary wardrobe when not being used as a shower.

Then, at the very back are the twin single beds. They’re at a fairly high level, so two steps are required, but these are deep and wide, providing easy access to the beds. This does allow wardrobe space under the foot of the beds, as well as the two full-height units at the base of each bed. The thing to watch out for is the high-level locker across the rear; you could bump your head on it if you sit up suddenly. And there are two further lockers on each side in this area – as if you didn’t have enough space for clothes already!

The height of those beds comes into its own with the garage space below. It’s a minimum of a metre in height inside, with both access doors being over a metre, too. And there’s a 250kg capacity, so you can even get a scooter in here. Attention to detail includes a ‘garage door open’ light on the dashboard, too.

Overall the Laika is a very impressive piece of kit and has plenty to offer the next owner. If you want to know more about this vehicle or wish to pop over to take a look at it with your own eyes, get in touch and a member of our team will do all they can to assist you with your enquiry.

Just completed an exchange and purchase of a nearly new motorhome and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the service I received at Rove, they were able to add to the specification and despite a number of problems outside of their control including the recent horrendous weather, they were able to deliver a first class service, thanks to Sam, Charlie, Charlotte and Guy, wouldn’t hesitate in recommending.

We visited the Selston site first to view a camper van we had seen on line and although the van didn’t meet out needs the staff couldn’t of been more helpful. We sat down with Charlie and put together a profile of the van we were looking for, including our budget. We went away hopeful that we would be found a van before long. Charlie kept us informed of the new stock coming in by email and a weekly phone call and although Charlie had moved to the Gunthorpe site he found us the perfect van. Since our initial visit we have met members of the wider team at Gunthorpe (Sam, Charlotte, Guy and a few of the men from the workshop) and everyone has been amazing and so helpful, including providing copious amounts of coffee. It will be a couple of weeks before we collect ‘Doris’ and start our travels but It’s 5 stars from us.

A friendly, helpful team. Get the kettle on, we'll be back for the alarm fitting presently. Thanks for your help and advice. You'll get a mention in the book Jamie, don't fret. It's now ''presently'. We've returned for the alarm. Good job. Someone even fixed the cab light without being asked. Thank you. Good luck with the business in it's new guise as Rove! Jo & Jan May.

What a fantastic company the staff so friendly & informative the whole process was fantastic. We originally dealt with Jamie but he transferred to another branch but left us in the capable hands of Guy & Charlie. We collected our motorhome on Friday but Gut sent a video handover on Thursday which is brilliant because although he went through everything on collection I am sure we will forget something when we set up on site. I would like to thank Jamie, Guy, Charlie, Charlotte & not forgetting the preparation staff for all their help in our purchase

We sold our motorhome within 2 weeks after taking it to Rove Motorhomes to be put on their forecourt. We are very impressed and pleased with their performance and professionalism. The guys there are very friendly and efficient and they know their business very well. Being Next door to Lowdhams helps a lot because many prospective buyers go to Gunthorpe so they are in the perfect place to find potential buyers. We highly recommend them to buyers and sellers.

Selling our first motorhome was a new experience and daunting. The team at Motorhome Depot Gunthorpe were exceptional - especially Jamie. He reassured me through the whole process and was very professional. I was kept up to date up to the point of sale, and the funds straight into my bank account. Thank you all for your help.
